The roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) passenger ferry

The roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) passenger ferry is primarily used for maritime transportation of vehicles and passengers between islands and ferry terminals, while also serving as a vessel for sightseeing on rivers, lakes, and seas.

This ferry boasts a steel-aluminum composite structure, measuring 67 meters in length, 15 meters in width, and 4.5 meters in depth.

 It is powered by a twin-engine, twin-propeller system, achieving a design speed of 16 knots.

 The vessel features 22 standard parking spaces (accommodating approximately 45 small passenger vehicles) and a passenger capacity of 340. With a wind resistance rating of level 9, it exhibits excellent seaworthiness and resistance to wind and waves.

The ferry's design is aesthetically pleasing, exuding both grandeur and a sense of modern technology. The top deck incorporates a sky garden concept, offering panoramic views for passengers to enjoy the scenic beauty. The interior layout is well-designed, utilizing an elevator to separate passengers and vehicles, maximizing efficiency for tourism and transportation needs. This provides passengers with a convenient and safe travel experience.

Its deployment has effectively alleviated pressure on car ferry services, further optimizing the functional layout of inter-island transportation and providing stronger capacity support for passenger flow. Simultaneously, it has elevated the quality of local water tourism.

Operational Case Study:

The "Putuo Haoyun" commenced trial operation on the Zhujiajian Xiaoyao ⇋ Liuheng Daoa passenger and vehicle ferry route on February 8, 2024.
